Martim

My take on this lovely bird, one of my favorites, for sure!
He's an Amazon Kingfisher best known as his popular name"Martim Pescador" here in Brazil. The videos bellow are songs(in portuguese) in his tribute.

Recently i've been getting more and more interested in birds, especially the ones that i can observe here in Sao Paulo. I even bought some books on the subject. =)

Master Study

Winslow Homer's work is a great inspiration to me so I decided to take a look at it more closely, this is an exercise that I should do more often. Done in watercolor.

Some design construction while studying; I'm still experimenting with mixed techniques. Done in watercolor, colored pencils and a few hints of pastels.
