Life drawing sessions

Just a few drawings i did in life drawing sessions along this month. Was kinda cool to experiment on crayons.

Bonus :)

The cave

Just trying to evolve some concept while studying composition, story telling and stuff. Hope y'a dig! :)

Gesture

Just dusting off the blog. 5 minutes gesture drawing.

Animation is killing me :P

It's been quite crazy to study animation, because it's definally something hard to me but i'll keep trying to push it foward. ;)
Those are some exercises i've been doing at Melies.

2011 has been intense

This year i'll be studying at Melies, so there's a lot of new things to learn in animation and modeling, i'm also trying to manage my time the best i can to keep studying drawing and painting regularly.

This is my first modeling study, it was based on a dagger of Prince of Persia The Two Thrones.

Happy X-mas! Boas festas!

I don't really get into end of year celebrations, but i wish everyone a happy X-mas and a happy new year anyway! =)

Environment study

Another environment study, i'm trying to fix my perspective and composition problems.

Outro estudo de ambiente, tentando melhorar minha perspectiva e composição.

Environment study, again =P

Another speedie one, took me something like two and a half hour. I'm quite frustrated with my lack of progress in composition fundament. But gotta keep going... training and studying even more...

Environment study 002

Just training a bit more of composition and value control.

Environment speedie

Quick speedie, around two hours. Just warming up for a more finished illustration.

Sketchbook roughs

Just throwing some ideas on paper, some of it may become more polished illustrations in the future.

Só rascunhando idéias, algumas delas talvez se tornem ilustrações finalizadas daqui a algum tempo.

Homeless cat

Since I've visited a shelter for abandoned animals in 2007 and adopted my Lion called Cat (:P) I am completely in favor of this cause, which inspires me to draw and paint this subject once in a while. Would be nice to have more people interested in this cause. =]

Speed painting

I felt like dusting off the blog today, so tried to convey some kind of a distant mountain market in this speed painting, it took me like 2 and a half hour. For those of you who doens't know what a speed painting is, here's what wikipedia says about it: "(...)is an exercise, primarily digital, in which one paints on a time budget, using already developed methods to create a piece.(...)"
